(Exodus
25:23-30; Leviticus 24:5-9;
Matthew 12:3,4;
John 6:33-35)
"Behold, I
stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Rev.
3:20).
Here we have the Lord Jesus speaking concerning the conditions by
which we have fellowship with Him; namely, open the door of your heart.
How many times during our Lord's earthly ministry do we see Him at a table with
those whom He loved! Our Lord yearns to have that same sweet fellowship
and communion with you and me today. He is the Bread of Life (John
6:32-35). The invitation is "Come and dine". Here in the
tabernacle we have the table set before us.
